This time last year several groups of Cranford Teens took part in a charity event.
Many of these teens sit on the Cranford Teen Advisory Board. It is the goal of the TAB to work in conjunction with the Cranford Recreation Department to plan activities for Cranford teenagers. TAB members had a memorable time last year and they decided to try to it again this year as a TAB activity open to all Cranford residents.
The 17th annual Polar Bear Plunge will take place this year on Feb. 27 in Seaside Heights. Run by the law enforcement community, the Polar Bear Plunge has grown to become the largest single day fundraising effort for Special Olympics New Jersey.
This worthwhile group provides year-round sports training and Olympic-type competition in 24 sports for more than 18,000 children and adults with intellectual disabilities, all completely free of charge.
